One year visit to the doctors

We went to the doctor on Thursday Oct 1st for Kaylee's one year well visit.
It went well except for the really long waiting times. The vaccines were no walk in the park either.
They offered a total of 7 vaccines!! Only one of them would have been a combo and unfortunately they had run out of that one so she had to get the Hib and dTap separate. I declined Varicella and both the regular and h1n1 flu shot...at least for now. If Kaylee has not caught chicken pox by time she is a teen I will have her vaccinated then. I also had them delay the MMR. I felt that it was to many vaccines all at once for a little body to handle. She got a total of four vaccines. Poor little thing was not a happy camper.

She is growing well. She weighed in at 21 pounds and the nurse measured her at 28.25 inches long. I didn't think that sounded right so I checked when I got home. Her measurement at 9 months was 28.75 inches long so I figured she hadn't shrunk half an inch and re measured Kaylee at home. I got 30 inches on the dot. So she is 21 lbs and 30 inches long. That is 75 percentile in height and 50 percentile in weight.

We have her down to just two bottles a day when she first gets up at 5 am and before bed time. The rest is whole milk or water and occasional juice in a tippy cup, and whatever we are eating..within reason of course.
I have the feeling though that the last two bottles will be around for a while longer. I am having such a hard time getting her to eat. She will try something and act like she loves it, eating the whole portion I give her. But the second or third time I try that same food again she wont even take a single bite of it. I can't find any food that she will eat more than once. *sigh*
Ah the joys of a toddler!

She still keeps me on my toes at ALL times. She recently learned that she can come down the stairs all by herself. And she does it quite well. I posted the video on her picture gallery.
She is getting better at walking and has mastered walking side to side and back words as well. Kaylee also knows how to kick a ball and has fun kicking it back and forth between her and I.

She has been able to shake her head no for a while now but recently mastered yes as well...which is good as I was getting tired of no all the time hehe. Well as always her doctor was impressed with her development both mentally and physically so we were happy about that.
Her next appointment is in 3 months for her 15 month well visit.
